This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and protect information when merchants install and use the app, and when customers interact with the AI try-on feature.

By installing or using See Before Buy AI, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information We Collect from Merchants (Store Owners)

When a merchant installs See Before Buy AI, we may collect and process the following information via Shopify’s API:

• Store name
• Store URL
• Shopify store ID
• Store email address
• Shopify access tokens
• Product information (titles, images, pricing, variants)
• Order information, including historical orders if permission is granted

Order data may include:

• Order ID
• Product details
• Order value
• Currency
• Purchase timestamps

B. Information Processed from Store Customers

When customers use the "See Before You Buy" feature, we may process:

• Uploaded photos/images
• Selected product details
• AI-generated preview images
• Add-to-cart interactions
• Purchase confirmation data for analytics

Customer images are processed solely for generating virtual try-on previews. We do not perform facial recognition, do not collect biometric identifiers, and do not create identity profiles.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected data strictly to:

• Generate AI try-on preview images
• Display previews on product pages
• Enable add-to-cart functionality
• Track try-on events
• Track add-to-cart events
• Measure conversion rates
• Calculate revenue attribution
• Display analytics in the merchant dashboard
• Improve AI model performance
• Provide merchant support

If access to orders older than 60 days is granted, historical order data is used only for long-term performance analytics and revenue reporting.

We do not sell, rent, or use merchant or customer data for advertising purposes.

4. Image Processing & Storage

• Images are securely transmitted using encrypted HTTPS connections.
• Images are processed only to generate AI previews.
• Images are not sold, shared, or publicly distributed.
• Images may be temporarily stored for processing and automatically deleted after a limited retention period.

5. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable safeguards including:

• Encrypted API communication
• Secure Shopify OAuth authentication
• Restricted internal data access
• Secure cloud infrastructure

While we take reasonable steps to protect data, no method of internet transmission is completely secure.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent merchant or customer data.

We may share limited information only:

• With secure AI or hosting providers strictly necessary to operate the service
• When required by law or legal process
• To comply with Shopify platform requirements

7. Data Retention

We retain merchant and order data only as long as necessary to provide services, maintain analytics accuracy, and comply with legal obligations.

If a merchant uninstalls the app, associated store data will be deleted within a reasonable timeframe unless legally required otherwise.

Customer-uploaded images are automatically deleted after processing or within a limited storage period.

8. Merchant Rights

Merchants may request:

• Access to stored data
• Correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion of their store data

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be reflected by revising the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.

Continued use of the app after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
